  I have been a patient at this surgery since birth (48 years ago), until the last year or two it was wonderful. The receptionist 20 years ago saved my Mums life. My Mum had a severe headache and couldnt stand up - the phone was answered first time, the receptionist who knew my Mum well hence knew she wasnt a drama queen told me to phone 999 - if I hadnt done that my Mum could have died from her brain aneurysm. The doctors there are still amazing - the administration however is appalling, I cant remember once in the last two years a time when my repeat prescription was done without numerous calls/visits, there is no communication, difficult to get an appointment etc etc. But I hope people consider that this downhill service might be due to a national problem - cuts in NHS resources, not having enough medical staff to serve the number of people and these things wont improve under the current government - who would want to train to be a health professional or Doctor under this pressure. So yes, its very stressful trying to deal with the surgery but is it their fault or that of the Conservative government?
